A Well Beings team of Jackie, Louise (Create Yourself) and Benny had a great time this week on their first visit to Ferney Lee Primary School, meeting the children for our bereavement support project.
This first session included a meet and greet. Benny was able to meet most of the pupils and he was, as always, the star of the show!
Our bereavement work began with a creative "my family" activity about the person we would like to remember, and we talked about our journey over the next 8 weeks together.
This project is designed to build peer support that can continue after Jackie and Louise (and Benny...) complete their time at the school. This means that the children will be able to support and look out for one another, whilst helping others that may be struggling with a similar experience.
The session closed with the children choosing their box for our 'big project' memory boxes. We'll be continuing with that next week!
